Type of shop solution¶

The Gambio shop system is available both as an installation package for a self-hosted shop and as a cloud-based shop solution (gambiocloud.com). The installation package includes a separate installation guide for the shop system.

Apart from a few special features on the cloud side, both systems are identical, so this manual can be used for both variants.

Key differences between self-hosted and cloud-based shops at a glance¶

Cloud shops have a setup wizard
Cloud shops only offer limited FTP access; the installation of third-party modules is not possible for the time being
Updates are applied by Gambio as part of the booked cloud package as soon as they become available
The payment methods in the Other section are composed differently for cloud shops; details can be found in the Payment methods chapter
No shop version is displayed
