Campaigns¶
Campaigns are intended to identify the origin of the customers. It is possible to supplement the product links with an ID before uploading them to a portal such as idealo.de. When customers now come into the shop via this portal, the customer's movements contain the reference number of the campaign and the merchant knows from which source which purchases were generated.
Under Settings / Search Engine Optimization / Campaigns campaigns can be created; to do so, click on the button Insert. A window opens in which the Campaign name and the RefID can be entered. Both values can be assigned freely; with the RefID, however, care must be taken that it may only contain numbers.
Attention
If the RefID also contains letters, it will indeed be integrated correctly into the adjusted product link, but the data from the campaign cannot be output in the campaign report. Hits and purchases are not counted.
Under Products > Import/Export the products for the various shopping portals such as idealo.de or billiger.de can be exported. In the settings of the export the desired campaign can be selected.
In the export file the product links are then supplemented with the RefID. The export file is then imported into the desired shopping portal; the customers then come from this portal into the shop via the adjusted links, which makes tracking possible.
