Displaying logs

Note

This area of the Gambio Admin is only available in self-hosted shops.

Under Toolbox > Display logs you have the option of viewing the shop's log files. These record certain events in the shop and contain important details that are required, for example, for troubleshooting. The various logs can be selected and displayed via the Log file dropdown menu. The file may contain a very large number of entries, in which case it is split across several pages that can be selected via the Page dropdown menu. By default, when a log is loaded, the last page created is opened; the most recent log entry is located at the bottom of the page.

While reviewing a log file, new events may already have been added that are not listed in the current view. In order to always have the current version of the log on the screen in this case, the checkmark for Reload automatically can be set. The log will then be automatically refreshed at the time interval entered in the Interval in sec. input field (3 seconds by default).

In the case of potentially security-relevant incidents, the corresponding events are saved in the Security Log. You will then receive a notification via the Admin Info Box that new entries are available in the Security Log. The message contains a button via which the Display logs screen can be opened directly. To acknowledge the message after reviewing the security logs so that it is no longer displayed, click on the Mark as read button while the log is open.

The following keyboard shortcuts are available for the individual functions of the Display logs screen:

  • r = reload page
  • a = reload log automatically
  • e = reload log
  • f = download log file
  • c = clear selected log
  • d = delete selected log

Attention

The keys c and d irretrievably delete the contents of the log files or the log file itself. Only press these keys if you really want to remove the displayed entries or the corresponding file.
