Customer Reviews¶
Customers have the option to rate and comment on products in the shop. Both pieces of information are combined in a customer review.
Activating reviews for customer groups¶
For each customer group, it is defined separately whether customers are able to read and create reviews. To do this, go to Customers > Customer groups, select the corresponding customer group and click on the pencil symbol. At the bottom of the page you will find the settings Rate product and Read customer reviews. Set both to ✔ in order to completely enable customer reviews for the selected customer group.
Writing and displaying reviews¶
When a product is opened in the detail view, a corresponding rating can be created via this box. To do this, click on Your opinion.
In the Your opinion field, the comment on the product is entered. Please note that this text has a minimum length by default. You can set this under Settings / Layout & Design / Reviews; it is stored in the Reviews input field. A review without text is not displayed in the shop. In the Reviews area, between one and five stars can be assigned; to do this, select the corresponding row with the radio button (black ball in a white circle). Normally, the entry must be confirmed by a security code. This can be switched on or off under Settings / System / Show security prompts. To do this, set or remove the checkmark for Show security code prompt in "Reviews" module?
Once a review has been written, it is displayed in the product below the product description and the tabs (if present).
Administering reviews¶
Under Products > Customer reviews, you can view the reviews that have been created. Via the Edit button, both the text and the rating can be changed afterwards. Click on Preview to check the change. With the Update button, this is applied in the shop. By clicking on Back, you return to editing the rating; via Cancel, back to the overview of all ratings. By clicking on Delete, a rating can be removed. Confirm the security prompt by clicking on Delete again. Via Cancel, you can leave the delete dialog without removing the rating.
